What's a Tot Lot?

What's a tot lot, you ask?  Here in Columbia, MD, aka "Pleasantville," a tot lot is a small playground, most exciting for younger kids,  along the pathways owned and maintained by Columbia Association.  I decided to call my blog Tot Lot mom because I love exploring different tot lots and taking nature walks on the paths with my 4 year old (oh. my. god. my son is 4! How did this happen?!?) son and I am making it my goal to explore and review them all for you.  

In addition to connoisseur of tiny playgrounds, I am also a single parent and an avid runner with a novice hobby of keeping up with local real estate, Howard County public school happenings, and local events (especially free ones.  Did I mention I like free stuff?).  So welcome and stay tuned for some playground reviews!
